As a Michigan interior design photographer, one of my favorite parts of this work is stepping into spaces that tell a story before a single word is spoken. Every detail – the layers of texture, the collected pieces, the way light moves through a room – reflects the heart behind the design.
Recently, I had the opportunity to photograph the beautiful work of Abby Lucas Design, a West Michigan-based interior designer known for creating homes that feel both elevated and deeply lived in. Her spaces have a timeless quality to them. Nothing feels overly styled or trendy. Instead, every room invites you in, creating a sense of warmth, comfort, and effortless beauty.

Interior design photography is about so much more than documenting a finished project. It’s about preserving the feeling of a space and helping designers share the intentional details that make their work unique. Great photography allows potential clients to experience the atmosphere of a home before ever stepping inside it.

Working with creative entrepreneurs like Abby is always such a gift because we share a similar belief: thoughtful design has the power to make people feel something. Whether it’s through the way a room is curated or the way it’s photographed, every detail matters.
As a Michigan interior design photographer, I love partnering with designers who care deeply about their craft and want imagery that reflects the quality and intention behind their work. Photographing spaces like these is a reminder that beautiful design isn’t simply about aesthetics, it’s about creating places that feel like home.
