There’s something beautifully vulnerable about being the person who is usually behind the camera and choosing to step in front of it instead.
As photographers, we’re so often focused on helping everyone else tell their stories that our own brands can end up becoming an afterthought. We know the importance of professional imagery better than anyone, and yet we’re usually the last people to invest in it ourselves.
That’s exactly why working with Kayla of Kayla Raquel Photo felt so special.

Kayla came into this project wanting more than a new logo or updated headshots. She wanted clarity. She wanted a brand that felt polished, recognizable, and fully aligned with the business she’s building. She wanted her online presence to reflect the same confidence and care that she brings to every client experience.
Her brand is rooted in so much heart. She’s bubbly, encouraging, deeply relational, and genuinely invested in helping entrepreneurs feel excited about their businesses. She believes photoshoots should be fun and that business is personal, and we wanted every piece of her brand to communicate exactly that.

For her brand photography session, we intentionally created images that showcased the many layers of who she is—an expert, a creative, a business owner, and a friend. We captured editorial portraits that feel elevated and professional alongside softer, more approachable moments that reflect her warmth and personality.
More than anything, I wanted Kayla to walk away with a library of images that would make marketing her new brand feel easy. Images for her website, social media, email marketing, and future launches. Images that would help her show up consistently and confidently because they finally felt like her.

Because branding isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about creating the visual language to fully step into who you’ve already become.
And for photographers especially, sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is allow ourselves to be seen, too.
